UTOPIA

The word “utopia” originates from Greek and was coined by the English writer Thomas More in 1516 to title his work *Utopia*, where he describes an island (a space) with an ideal society.

Etymological Breakdown:
“Ou”: “no” or “none.”
“Topos”: “place.”

However, Thomas More plays with meanings depending on the perspective, as in Greek there is also the word:
“Eu-topos”: “good place” or “ideal place.”

Over time, “utopia” has come to refer to any idealized vision of a society, system, or perfect situation that may be difficult or impossible to achieve.

This philosophical dialogue describes an ideal society located on an island-space, reflecting and questioning the way of life of that era, leaving open the possibility that an ideal space for living in harmony can always be found or built.

zamatopia

ZAMATOPIA is a vision to enjoy life through architecture, a place where harmony reigns between people, nature, and innovation. We create physical spaces that promote and stimulate sustainability, human connection, respect for the environment, and, above all, the opportunity to fully enjoy our daily lives—from our homes, schools, workplaces, sports, and within our communities, neighborhoods, and cities.

In this world shaped by boundless imagination, every project is a small utopia brought to life: spaces where ideals flourish, and challenges inspire creative solutions. Every detail reflects a delicate balance: sustainable living, resilient cities, and opportunities for growth and development.
